OIC’s Overarching Objective is to assist our most disadvantaged customers gain the skills and access they need to work their way out of poverty and provide an opportunity for them and their families to make it in America.
Specifically OIC:
•Effectively engages the hard to serve in a developmental program
•Assists all customers in increasing their core literacy skills
•Enables all customers in obtaining functional computer/technology literacy
•Increases the job readiness skills proficiency of all customers
•Provides effective life skills training
•Provides career counseling, occupational information
•Links each customer with a career and life mentor from a faith based congregation
•Directly provides and brokers existing community support service
•Provides and /or offers access to occupational skills training
•Provides and/or links the customer with job placement and retention services
