Job Placement and Follow-up Services
Job Readiness and Job Placement are OIC/DCs Specialties
Using contacts that include our alumni club, our employer customers, and the public labor exchange, all avenues are used to locate and assist students in securing the job that is right for them.

OIC has developed an aggressive follow-up system that is cost-effective and produces better outcomes. Upon placement, each student is assigned into one of three follow-up categories based on the staffs assessment of their risk factors: high, moderate, or low.
Job readiness training is designed to provide information that students need for success on the job, including:
•Resource skills: allocating time, money, materials, space, staff
•Interpersonal skills: teamwork, teaching others, serving customers, leading, negotiating, and working well with people from culturally diverse backgrounds
•Information skills: acquiring and evaluating data, organizing and maintaining files, using computers to process information
•System skills: understanding social, organizational and technological systems, designing or improving systems
•Technology skills: selecting equipment and tools; applying, maintaining, and troubleshooting technology
•Work maturity: acceptable work habits and attitudes needed to acquire and retain a job
