While bringing together all of the services of a traditional employment and training program, OFAC adds a focus on the family, so as to assist families in gaining economic security and create enhanced family and community stability. Working in concert with our partners, the program engages unemployed or underemployed adults. We provide an array of pro-active and developmental services for families, including career and mentoring services, all designed to assist families in improving their economic situation and increase family and community stability. The program will accomplish the following objectives:

Offer a holistic, faith based service approach which brings together partners which can
effectively work at the community level to offer a fully integrated set of services for the heads
of the household and/or their families including at risk youth;
   •Recruit, assess, enroll and engage eligible low income families in the program;
   • Provide counseling and referral services for all family members in need;
   •Conduct a series of job readiness, life skills workshops;
   •Provide mentoring services for all participants in need;
   •Develop a service strategy plan for each participant;
   •Facilitate adults to make a transition from unemployment to a career track job;
   •Ensure that 100% of the teenage children get engaged in summer and after school activities.
