The Solar Energy Technology focuses on developing cost-effective solar energy technologies that has the greatest potential to benefit the nation and the world. Solar technology diversifies the energy supply, reduce the country's dependence on imported fuels, improve air quality, and offset greenhouse gas emissions. A growing solar industry also stimulates our economy by creating jobs in solar manufacturing and installation.
OIC/DC’s Solar Energy Technology Training Program is equipped with experience, knowledge, and leadership to provide student technicians a comprehensive training curriculum. Our courses are designed to meet the standards of nationally recognized organizations. Candidates will learn the basics of today's solar energy technologies: what they are, why they are important, and how they can be used to produce heat, light, and power. Also learn about the latest materials, methods, and manufacturing processes that will help lead an exciting career in solar technologies.
Solar Energy Technology Training program prepares individuals to apply fundamental principles and technical skills in support of solar energy industry. Upon the completion of OIC/DC’s Solar Energy Technology Training curriculum candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
